Thank you for coming to the Children's Home/Chambliss Center Shelter yesterday to perform for the children we serve...You were "GREAT"! We were all impressed with your musical talents and your ability to maintain control of a large audience of 4 through 12-year-old children. (Being able to keep the attention of a large group of children with such a wide age span is a talent in and of itself!)
Paulette Acord, Volunteer Coordinator
Chambliss Center for Children
Chattanooga, Tennessee

What a delightful presentation! The students and staff of the Rush-Henrietta School Age Child Care Program want to thank you for giving us the chance to express ourselves through music and dance. This is something that often gets short-changed in today's electronic culture. We had a wonderful time and appreciate your spending the morning with us.
Pearl Tokar, Director of Child Care Services
Rush-Henrietta School Age Child Care
Rochester, New York

The patients had a great time watching you perform, listening to your music, and having the opportunity to sing and play the instruments you brought with you. The impromptu bedside performance that you gave was a much-needed pick-me-up for one young boy and his family. Their smiles showed just important music and laughter are in the healing process.

Ms. Sumner was outstanding in engaging the students who were at differing developmental levels. She incorporated curriculum standards with artistic expression. She accessed their creativity while directing their exploration of the work of art. She managed their behavior flawlessly. The students benefited greatly.

What a delight to have you at Emmanuel, to have dinner with you and then watch you mesmerize 300 folks early on a Saturday morning! You were absolutely amazing in your ability to entertain and hold the attention of "wound up" children on a Friday afternoon. Then you were equally as amazing as you wove great, practical information for teachers with fun and song and movement. The attendees of the conference gave you rave reviews. One said you could have spoken all day and she would have been happy....

We thank Rachel so much for visiting our patients and their families. Her songs were such a success with the kids. Even the children who are traditionally the quietest and most withdrawn enjoyed and even laughed during her time with them. The bedside visits were so successful and (the children) really perked up and smiled during her visit....We really appreciate her flexibility and skills when working with the children....

Rachel has mastered the art of bringing out the innocence and exuberance from every member of her audience and she proves that childhood does not always have to be reserved only for the children.

Congratulations! You had our best audience yet! I was thrilled because I knew they had an extra special treat in store with you. The program was just perfect for such a mixed age group. It's hard for these moms with children of such wide age differences. You worked hard for your money. I appreciate how well you were able to hold their attention, involve them in the story and songs, and give the parents a great time also. You're a master entertainer! Thanks also for being on time, organized and prepared with equipment and programming. The flow was flawless. You are a dream!!

Dear Rachel,
You were delightful, and your program was perfectly geared toward our Summer Reading theme. The children loved you, and I was so excited to see them interact with you and enjoy your flamingo/crab story. It was so refreshing to see the children become involved in creative movement, hand motions, and singing. Yours is a program that children need and enjoy.
